India's record eighth-wicket stand, and Dananjaya's dream spell
4 - Number of batsmen to score a half century at No. 9 in successful ODI chases. Bhuvneshwar Kumar joined James Faulkner, Thomas Odoyo and Brendon Mccullum in this feat. This is Bhuvneshwar Kumar's highest ODI score and also the fourth-highest for a India No. 9.
100 - Runs added by MS Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the eighth-wicket - highest for the eighth-wicket for India in ODIs. This is also the top partnership for the eighth-wicket in a successful chase in ODIs and second century stand for eighth or lower wickets in successful chases in ODIs.
2 - Number of century stands in the chase of 231 for India - this is the second lowest total with two century stands. India had an opening stand of 109 runs and then lost five wickets for 22 runs and another stand of 100 runs for the eighth wicket.
13 - Balls taken by Akila Dananjaya to take five wickets. His first wicket was Rohit Sharma off his 15th delivery and took his fifth wicket off his 27th delivery. Since 2000 there are three bowlers who have taken five wickets in fewer number of deliveries. Mohammed Sami took five wickets in the space of 11 balls against New Zealand in Lahore in 2003.
22 - Runs for which India lost six wickets - least runs added in ODIs for India for the second to the seventh wickets. Previously they lost six wickets for 28 runs against New Zealand in Dambulla in 2010.
2 - Number of spinners to have better bowling figures against India than Akila Dananjaya's 6 for 54. Incidentally the top two positions are held by bowlers from Sri Lanka. Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajanta Mendis occupy the top two positions taking 7 for 30 and 6 for 13 respectively. Dananjaya's 6 for 54 is the best spell for Sri Lanka in ODIs in a losing cause.
5 - Bowled and lbw dismissals for Akila Dananjaya - joint highest for a spin bowler since 2000. Afghanistan's Rashid Khan was the last bowler to achieve this against West Indies in Gros Islet earlier this year.
11- Hundred-run stands for Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma in ODIs - joint third-highest for India behind Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly (26), and Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag (11). Since 2013 Dhawan and Rohit have had 20 fifty-plus stands - second highest behind Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock, who have 21 such stands.
