Toss South Africa elected to bat vs Ireland

South Africa elected to bat on a sunny day, where Cricket Ireland cautioned their fans to be "UV aware" and bring plenty of sunscreen.

Having lost two nights ago, courtesy special performances from Andy Balbirne and Harry Tector, the visitors need a win to square the three-match ODI series.

While Ireland remained unchanged from the XI that won by 43 runs in the second ODI, South Africa rang in three changes.

Quinton de Kock slotted back in to open the batting, while Heinrich Klaasen was brought in to shore up the middle order. There was also an ODI debut for fast bowler Lizaad Williams, who has so far featured in four T20Is. Aiden Markram, David Miller and Kagiso Rabada were rested.

With three wins in 11 matches, Ireland are currently fifth in the World Cup Super League points table. A win today will help them leapfrog Pakistan in fourth place. South Africa, meanwhile, are placed eleventh, with a solitary win in five matches.
